HP 16 GB Class 4 SDHC Flash Memory Card Q6305A-EFReviewsI bought this for my Sony picture frame. I've put 2000 high res pictures and still have 13 Gig free. I couldn't be happier. No problems yet, works great. Stores my pictures, does no more :). I dont expect more no one should do so as it shouldn't do anything more. Has nothing to do with quality as its supposed to store data, if your data has quality then this will store it. Got that. Not the fastest out there, but so far the card proved itself more reliable than A-Data products. Use it to keep all my library on the E-book reader HP's 8GB SDHC card appears to be one of the better buys at the time of this review, as far as price/performance/capacity is concerned. In my case, it fulfills the task assigned - store a large number of photos for an electronic picture frame to display. However, its relatively low write speed may NOT make it suitable if the intended use was in a camera taking large 'rapid fire' shots. PERFORMANCE I would like to note that I did not test the card with a camera but it's stated 'Class 4' speed class, which is the equivalent of a 26x speed rating should guarantee a MINIMUM of 4MB/s. Unlike the 'x' ratings, the speed class ratings are NOT certified by an independent body so, more or less, you will have to decide whether you trust the card's maker. It so happens that I DID test the card myself and I found that I could copy 1.6 GB worth of photos in about 5 minutes. This is 5MB/s for writing on the card for the first time, indicating that the Class 4/26x claim is honest. Practically, if you are going to use this card in a camera, depending on the quality of the pics you are taking, you may or may not be happy with its performance. At 12 megapixels, a 100% quality JPG would produce a 2-3 MB file so, without even counting the overhead, your camera will spend about half second, possibly more to write to the card which may or may not be in line with your own expectation. For better performance, look for a higher 'class' number 133x/Class 20, for example, should support 20 MB/s or writing up to 10 12-megapixel JPG photo files per second. ADDITIONAL FEATURES/CONCERNS The card comes formatted as FAT32 and my Vista Enterprise computer was able to write to it. If, for whatever reason, FAT32 is not what you need, you should be able to format it under Windows/Vista, Mac or Unix/Linux to whatever you may need. Not ALL cameras support FAT32. Older cameras may only be aware of FAT16 and can't see any card larger that 4GB. If in doubt, check with the manufacturer or maybe read your camera's reviews at Amazon. Related to the above - anyone who may have a device meant to use SD cards should be aware that SDHC may not work with it so it's better to ask the maker. Finally, one nice thing about HP's card - it comes with a write-protect tab. If you are not using your card in a camera and want to prevent accidental writes, move the tab to the 'lock' position but, be careful, it will NOT work with your camera if you forget to move the tab back to 'unlock'. RATING This is a honestly rated Class 4 card. Class 4, as I explained, means SLOW so, if blazing-fast write speed is not an issue, this is probably what you need given the price and the maker's reputation - by the way, the card is manufactured in Japan. For what it is, the card deserves 5 stars. I purchased it for a Panasonic HD Camcorder and it has worked flawlessly. Cheap and dependable. Average Rating:![]() |

HP 8 GB Class 4 microSDHC Flash Memory Card L1885A-EFReviewsI got a pair of these. Both failed, one out of the box and the other one at a very bad time on a vacation. The second one didn't last more than 3 weeks. Terrible quality control. I wouldn't trust it for anything important. Great card combo. This card filled my needs perfectly for a great price! Fast, reliable and affordable... Class 4 HP card w/ adapter works fine. The adapter allows this MicroSD card to work in other devices that only accept the SD sized memory cards. I paid $9.99 for mine back in Nov. 2009, so watch the prices weekly... Excellent buyer 5 stars, very fast shipping and product exactly as described.would buy from again anytime Bought 2 for my Sansa Fuse. I'm only storing MP3 and JPG, so I can't comment on the problems the other guy was having with Video on his Fuse. These work fine and are reasonably fast. Not using them in a camera, so speed isn't really an issue. Average Rating:![]() |

P002 : Universal USB Car Charger AdapterReviewsI was in need of another automobile usb charging solution, and that is what led me to discover this little gem! It is small, light weight, fuse protected, and plugs into any standard cigarette lighter. On the posterior face is a single usb port. The product performs as claimed and is a steal for the price. Heck, why pay 30 bucks at the verizon store for a car charger for the Android when you can pay 3? :) Many of you people are proof that you cannot satisfy the masses regardless of what you provide them. This thing is selling for one penny, performs it's intended function and you are reviewing it as if it were a thousand dollars worth of electronics. Grant it I do not charge phones or iPods with it and considering the cost would be apprehensive about doing so. Mine for recharging electronic cigarettes and it performs that function as well as did the $9.00 charger it was replacing. In fact when I ordered it I never expected to see it delivered for a total price, including the shipping charges, of less than $3.00. I couldn't be happier and wish I would stumble across more useable items on Amazon for $.01. Anyone needing a USB charger for your car has nothing to lose by ordering this one and it does perform its intended function. This item is so easy to use and it works just fine with all my mp3's. Not only does this charge your fuze but you can use your player too.Plus it cuts about an hour off computer charge time. You can use it for other rechargeables as long as they use a USB 2.0 cable. For $3 you would be crazy not to own one!! I got this device mainly so I can charge my iPhone with it. first time it worked great but then other time a message would appear on the iPhone saying that this device is not meant to work with the iPhone. It takes a few tries for it to charge. As this is mainly Apple's fault for creating more problems than solutions when working with products they do not sell them selves, I feel the manufacture of this charger should have placed a comment saying "May not work with apple products". In any case, with the rest of the products it works. fairly simple to use and does not weight much. Average Rating:![]() |

TomTom XL 340S Live 4.3-Inch Widescreen Portable Internet Connected GPS NavigatorReviewsWorks great. Easy to use. Live services are a waste of time for me. If you live in a major metropolitan area, it would be worth it. I live in a rural area and the facts are that the Live weather doesn't have my town or any near it. The closest one it shows the weather for is a half-hour drive away! Keep that in mind if you don't live in a major town. Other than that complaint, the TomTom works great and is a quick favorite! Love TomTom. I got 4 years ago and it was awesome. I took a cross country trip totally unplanned. - I would drive until I was tired, then look for a hotel within the driving distance I wanted to go, call them through the bluetooth, make the reservation and head that way. Some nights I would even locate an Outback Steakhouse close to the hotel, call through the TomTom bluetooth, order dinner and pick it up on the way to the hotel! I had my cat with me who had a bad reaction to his sedative, I was in the middle of no where Oklahoma, but TomTom found me the nearest vet, I called on my way and got him taken care of! My TomTom died (after LOTS of hard use and dropping) about 6 months ago. I got a Garmin instead but ended up selling it and getting a new TomTom. They are very reliable, and easy to use. Find POIs seems to be the best with TomTom. The ONLY downside I find is the cost of live traffic updates. It is an awesome feature that really helps me on trips to LA from Orange County and occasional trips to Phoenix. But the price of 10/month is a lot when other brands have lifetime traffic updates (a one time fee, no more). I hope TomTom with get on the bandwagon and get a lifetime subscription price to offer. Love Love Love TomTom recently traveled up I-95 for several hundred miles, loved the fact that it told me exit numbers. Must say the computer voice is hard to understand sometimes on street name, especially if it contains 3 words, sometimes the last one cuts out. The only other odd thing was traveling thru the Baltimore area, I lost the voice in both directions, had to shut it off and turn it on to get the voice back. It's too bad only the computer voices speak the street names.. hey but its progress. I love the LIVE, great for fuel prices, accommodations, restaurants. I will be buying the LIVE services.. If I had to come up with something negative, I wish when it says "you have reached your destination", it would go on to say on the left or right. Right on the box, the unit indicates it says street names. We got it home, downloaded the latest maps from Tomtom etc. and then put it through the test.... NO STREET NAMES... Just turn left and turn right. Went through the laborious task of trying to contact by email... Had to read thru screens to make sure answer wasn't on screen then was given opportunity to send message to tech support. Received email back from them.. informing me I had to provide more details etc.. OK, that's not a problem IF THEY ACCEPTED AN EMAIL REPLY.. No, they forced you to jump thru more hoops and log back into their system and go thru the whole procedure again.. I don't have to time to play around with these companies.. Took unit back and bought different GPS device. This is the first GPS I have bought. I bought this model for the advanced features I figure I would use in RV travelling. The instructions for use are generic and do not go into detail or provide examples. The maps are way out of date and updates are costly. I live in a two street subdivision that is 6+ years old and it's not on the map. As many times as I have done Map and Share, no results in updating the map. This makes it difficult to set a home point. Right now, my home is in the backyard of someone on the next street that is on the map. I practiced trips on routes that I know and was disappointed in the routing results. The option to do an itinerary should let you map out a trip point by point, but that doesn't work well. It has routed me around a path that should have been a straight line. I had a problem with connecting to my USB ports. The TomTom would crash the USB circuit in my computer. I would have to unplug the power and boot up with the TomTom connected to get it to work. I have a wireless keybord and mouse that are USB as well as a scanner, camera and printer. None of these cause a problem plugging and unplugging. My get around was to use a powered USB hub to connect my TomTom. I have a friend who gets a Blue Sceen on windows 7 when he plugs in his TomTom. He is going to try a USB hub. Other than these problems the unit works well. What I would really like to see is a learn mode that would monitor your trips and make maps of them for future use. Combined with the IQ routing and traffic information system trips would be easy and quick no matter what conditions exist. Average Rating:![]() |

ARKON CM012 Magellan, Nextar, HP, Navigon, Garmin, TomTom Friction Dash MountReviewsThis dash mount works very well with my TomTom. I haven't had a need to use the the stick to the dash loop for holding the mount in place. It does very well with the friction pad on the bottom through turns, stops and starts. I leave the TomTom attached to it all the time and carry the whole thing as a unit. When in the house it sits on a window sill to pick up the signals while connected to my PC. Unit arrived with dryed glue all over the suction pad What idiot would ship this like that? Tried cleaning it off, my gps would not stick to it, ended up gluing the the plastic disc that came with the gps onto the surface. That seemed to fix the problem let's hope it will stay glued. Therefore I give this pad no stars as it was defective, but the expense of shipping it back is not worth it or the hassle! Royal from Rhode Island This is a great product for my Tomtom 720. I loved it and used it whenever I have my GPS in my car. It's heavy enough so it wouldn't move no matter how you drive your car. I bought this for a TomTom 740. I use the Garmin fricton mount exclusively with our Garmin 660 so I thought this would work well. Unfortunately, the suction mount provided with the 740 does not adhere well to the base plate. This appears to be the result of the base plate surface being too slick. The 740 active mount works great on our windshield(so I know the suction works fine on glass) but I like the portability with the friction mounts which was why I made the purchase. I am very disappointed with this item. I doubt the cost of return shipping makes returning it worthwhile in the end. I've purchased other GPS dash mounts but this one is worth the few dollars more IMO. Even though they all perform well, this one has better looks and functionality. Compare the pictures and you'll notice that the material that encloses the weight is smooth and has no folds. You'll also notice the open area in the front. It will allow you to tilt your GPS down further for a better viewing angle while on the dash. As a result of being lower, it blocks less of your vision. I actually see the hood of my SUV above the GPS and no road blockage at all. It just looks better. For now, this would be my choice if I needed another one. Average Rating:![]() |

MAP-INAV-2009(PC): iGuidance 2009 North America Laptop, UMPC, Car PC Edition (DVD)ReviewsFor navigation duties in our 40' motorhome, I prefer a laptop-based GPS product - I like the large screen, large keyboard, more flexibility, and the less cost (for the application) than a dedicated device. For three years we exclusively used ALK's CoPilot which had a wonderfully intuitive and simple user interface. I went through three versions of CoPilot and was excited when CoPilot 11 was released. Excitement quickly turned to dismay when I realized ALK removed valuable features *and* it would faithfully crash every hour or two. Insult to injury when it was clear ALK apparently had no plans to release any patches for the product. So this is the backdrop for me looking for alternative nav applications. Microsoft Streets and Trips is great for planning, but totally lame for real-time navigation. Delorme is pretty good, but hopelessly complex and the interface looks like options were scattered here and there as the application evolved. It seems to me like Delorme threw in everything anybody could possible want so it could be all things to all people. After some hunting around on the Internet, I found iGuidance and read a hands-on review of it. It looked good enough to try out, but it has turned into quite a disappointment. For one thing, it will crash every hour or so on my laptop that faithfully runs Delorme. Route planning on iGuidance is not very flexible - it has no provision to avoid certain roads and the best you can do is to insert 'vias' like Delorme. I almost exclusively use Lat/Long for destinations since address or POIs are sometimes terribly inaccurate - unfortunately there is no way (that I found) to directly add a Lat/Long for a stop or end point. iGuidance to me appears probably like an alpha release of the first version of CoPilot - lots of good ideas, a clean and simple user interface, but the product is not developed to the point to where it is worth $90. Not ready for the big-time at this point. Average Rating:![]() |
