This thing is heavy - weighs 2 lbs. It holds my Tom Tom snugly and does not let it fall off the dash. I have been using it every day for 3 days and no problems even when I had to slam on my brakes in heavy traffic. I got it for $13.94 including shipping from [...]

The idea is good, but not a good design. When I tried to use with my Tom-Tom, the connection and cord are in the way and the unit has to be folded back in order to fit on the stand.

I really like this GPS mount. I bought this for my Tom Tom and it works great! It stays on the dashboard even when I make quick turns.

This is the only product that I could find that would allow me to mount my TomTom GPS and not have it slide off the dash. Great product and I highly recommend it.

Used with: Magellan 1475T. Very stable mount. Fits my unit well and allows use on a variety of dash heights and angles - good feature if you use your GPS in rental cars like I do. Stays put very well under tight turns and acceleration. Only had mine a little while but highly recommend so far.

WINDSHIELD PEDESTAL NOT INCLUDED. MOUNT BASE ONLY. The new open front design is suitable for devices with power jack located on the bottom of the unit. Ideal for California and Minnesota drivers where windshield mounting solution is illegal by state law...

I purchased this mount for my Jeep Wrangler JK and TomTom Go and was skeptical that it would keep the TomTom in place atop my dashboard. After completing a 6000 mile cross-country trip, I can safely report that the TomTom never once slid out of place despite the rough highways and dirt trails. This one is a keeper.

I have a great spot for a dash mount in my 2007 Honda Civic, but most beanbag mounts are large and the bottom is not so flexible. This mount has a very small footprint, about 5" diameter, and has a somewhat flexible bottom with a great "grippy" or "tacky" surface. Also, most beanbag mounts need to use the windshield mount that comes with the Go 730. This particular mount came with its own pedestal which is nicely adjustable. I can tilt the Go 730 enough to avoid the direct sunlight. So far, no problems, even with left hand turns. Of course, I think any beanbag mounts will fall under bad circumstances. I did not want to have to apply any velcro sticky stuff to my dash or have any type mount that would show there may be a GPS in my car. This mount completely serve that purpose. I just stow it in the trunk when I leave the car. Also, the pedestal portion that comes packed with the mount detaches quickly and completely from the GPS. This is nice. I can take the GPS with me and stow in my pocketbook or pocket without the bulk of the pedestal to deal with (The TomTom included pedestal folded down but was a bulky piece). I highly recommend this mount.

I got this because the orignal holder for the winshield wouldnt hold anymore after a good year of constant use and switching from car to car.. THIS HOLDER IS PERFECT! so much better then the windsheild mount. highly recommend it!!

I'm not a fan of things suctioned to the windshield. The suction kit that came with my TomTom put the GPS out of reach when mounted on the lower side of the windshield and I don't like it next to the mirror. This friction mount stays stuck and it has a small footprint. It works with the GO 630 too.

one of the best TOM TOM friction mounts out there.no matter how you drive it stays in place.
