I bought this unit about a month ago. I have been to 5 states and used it often. I can tell you it does better than Tom Tom or Garmin. It recaculates your route MUCH faster than Tom Tom or Garmin.No doubt it has half the points of intrest not been a issue for me. I can't see that i need 6 million points of intrest. It's shows every gas station resturant even small mom and pop food,motels and car rentals & much much more. And at HALF the cost i couldn't be happier. Do your home work before you buy I have seen this unit sold from $149.00-$219.00. If traffic jams are a issue for you look for a bundle package. Navigon WILL charge you $99.00 for the traffic card. Many sellers (here) have the 2100 as a bundle for about $169.00 with the traffic card.Unlike Garmin it's a one time purchase no monthly fee's.

This case is very nice and fits my GPS perfectly, the only thing I wish is that it had a bit more room to store it's accessories like the car charger, but overall it is very compact and has nice material.

This dash mount works very well with my TomTom. I haven't had a need to use the the stick to the dash loop for holding the mount in place. It does very well with the friction pad on the bottom through turns, stops and starts. I leave the TomTom attached to it all the time and carry the whole thing as a unit. When in the house it sits on a window sill to pick up the signals while connected to my PC.

Unit arrived with dryed glue all over the suction pad What idiot would ship this like that? Tried cleaning it off, my gps would not stick to it, ended up gluing the the plastic disc that came with the gps onto the surface. That seemed to fix the problem let's hope it will stay glued. Therefore I give this pad no stars as it was defective, but the expense of shipping it back is not worth it or the hassle! Royal from Rhode Island

This is a great product for my Tomtom 720. I loved it and used it whenever I have my GPS in my car. It's heavy enough so it wouldn't move no matter how you drive your car.

I bought this for a TomTom 740. I use the Garmin fricton mount exclusively with our Garmin 660 so I thought this would work well. Unfortunately, the suction mount provided with the 740 does not adhere well to the base plate. This appears to be the result of the base plate surface being too slick. The 740 active mount works great on our windshield(so I know the suction works fine on glass) but I like the portability with the friction mounts which was why I made the purchase. I am very disappointed with this item. I doubt the cost of return shipping makes returning it worthwhile in the end.

I've purchased other GPS dash mounts but this one is worth the few dollars more IMO. Even though they all perform well, this one has better looks and functionality. Compare the pictures and you'll notice that the material that encloses the weight is smooth and has no folds. You'll also notice the open area in the front. It will allow you to tilt your GPS down further for a better viewing angle while on the dash. As a result of being lower, it blocks less of your vision. I actually see the hood of my SUV above the GPS and no road blockage at all. It just looks better. For now, this would be my choice if I needed another one.

even when advertised it is not big enough for the TOM TOM. Stay away from it if you have a TOM TOM

This case was recommended for Nuvi 265T. The case is taller than the GPS so I don't use it. The quality of the case seems fine though.

This case fits my TomTom nicely and is very protective. I never leave it in the car so the case protects it in my purse/bag. It was worth it.

I received this case without a ring as shown in the picture so that I can't use a robe to hang it.

I bought this as a present, and the person using it is very happy with it!

This unit is not really "universal". I bought it for my Tom Tom which barely squeezes in. (It's just a tad thick for the case.) The case is nice and hard but the zipper is flimsy. I imagine it is made from nylon for airport security or something but it is not very strong. For a few dollars it is okay.

This case is made out of a hard nice material and the price is really good but it's just a little tight. It's hard to close the zipper because it's a little small but it will close if you use a little effort. It would have been a 5 star if it is a little bigger.

I feel this case is well worth the price. I have no trouble w/zipper and it protects the GPS great.

Nice protection for my Navigon unit. Keeps it scratch free and I am able to take it along with me in my brief case without damaging the unit. Sturdy case. Highly recommended. In addition I am very happy with the Navigon GPS. I like it more than my Garmin. Very user friendly.

the zipper works alittle hard, I would not purchase again - the case that came with it was more convenient

I liked this case. I orginally bought if for the navigon, but returned the gps. I bought another brand and it fits nicely in the case. I like the clip that is included. There are lots of color choices, which is nice.

Case is big enough that I can fit the Navigon 4310 inside with room for the cable and the car charger, which makes it convenient for taking on trips when I need to pack the car charger as well - but it is not a snug fit if that's what you're looking for. It is made with high-quality materials, looks great and is sturdy enough to protect the unit inside.

This is my first GPS but it just seems to take along time to calculate routes and we live in the country and doesn't work well in the country. Doesn't recignise 911 address. I like the user friendly screen and settings.

This product I received pay for itself,especally in traffic problems.It tells you which road to take to get around the problem.

I love my Navigon 2100. it's not a perfect GPS but for the money I paid it does the job I need it to. when I discovered that I could get Lifetime Traffic for $20 I jumped on the deal. Overall I'm quite satisfied with the service I'm getting. had I paid the $60+ that some retailers were asking I'd probably be ticked off. pros: ability to see and avoid traffic all over the city, subscription is lifetime, no yearly fees cons: today when there was an interstate closure due to a car fire the service/unit asked if I wanted a new route to "avoid traffic jam" then it tried to re-route me right back onto the closed interstate. wtf? amusing: I don't know how the GPS converts the FM signal it gets for the traffic or how the designated FM station inputs the information but some of the incident messages are quite funny even if they are inaccurate. a few days ago I got a message about an avalanche warning in the area. a day or so after that I got another warning about packed snow on an interstate. the problem? these things rarely happen in Georgia and never in August. :)

I bought a Navigon 5100 when it first came out -- great little GPS, with the lane view feature. Sprung for the traffic card so I could get the updates, and now Navigon has abandoned the U.S. market, running back to Germany and leaving all of us with soon-to-be-obsolete devices. I contacted their "customer service" with a problem and was basically told to pound sand. Thanks, Navigon. Don't come back.

Excellent product. Worked as advertised and saved me about $50 if I had bought the same item directly from te manufacturer.

I rated this one star because Navigon has pulled out of the US Market. I was able to use my Fresh Maps to update twice in 2009 (1st and 2nd qrts.) Went thru the devil to get the 3rd. qtr. in late December 2009 and with no expectations I'll ever get the balance of updates I paid for (12 in three years - 9 to go). Not sure when or if they will ever publish the 4th. qtr. 2009 or any subsequent map updates. As for the Navigon 7100 GPS unit I bought the Fresh Maps for, I've been quite pleased with it - got it at a very good price at the end of 2008 and it has been well used. Had I known they were about to vacate the US market, would have bought another brand.

After easily doing the update to my 2100 max, I can no longer put in addresses that used to work. Basically saying that those addresses are no longer on the map. This means it is of little use compared to the one that used to work. There is also no way to go back to the previous map since I did not save it before the update. After writing to Navigon, they gave me no reply as an answer to the problem that they had created. I have been ignored by their support staff.

Stay way from anything Navigon, they have gone navigone. They do not have any customer support for anything used in north America. If your unit quits you are out of luck even if under warrenty. The company is doing business in Germany but will not even answer emails elswear. They took our money and ran!

Whatever you do, do not purchase this product. After researching a little, I have discovered that Navigon has pulled out of the North American GPS market. This means no more updates. The only facility that was left open was the Chicago one and it was left with only a handful of employees. I think it was absolutely awful of Navigon to call it quits and not even inform their loyal customers. Ireally liked my 7200T and now have had to go and get another unit from Garmin to replace it. Shame on Navigon for their lack of concern for their former customers and shame on them for not offering some sort of compensation to those of us who purchased Freshmaps (I got my 3 year in January of '09 and only got Q1 and Q2 updates - what a rip off).

I would have to say I'm very happy with Navigon Fresh Maps! very easy to use and updates are a big help! I'm on my 2 quarter update! and whats great about it is Navigon emails you to let you know when the new updates are available! very happy with product!

This item was as depicted. I gave it four stars due to the fact that it doesn't provide you with the shortest route. (you could go out of your way by a mile or even two in a short 10 mile excursion in the Atlant, Ga. area) This would be due to the Navigon itself and not the fresh maps. At least that is what I believe. Anyway the item was received in excellent shape and performed as expected.

Installed first map update of a 2 year subscription. Works as advertised. Map update took about 45 minutes (fast internet connection). Navigon 7200T worked fine after update.

I was happy with the price and delivery time was quick, I was very dissapointed that Amazon charged me sales tax, it wasnt so much that I had to pay it but I wasnt informed of it prior to purchase and was quietly added to my bill. I have grown accustomed to not paying sales tax over internet purchases and it something I consider when I look at price. I will think twice about purchaseing from Amazon.

Pros: Map product is very good. Using this type of priduct update is very good to keep the maps current as there are constant changes in building and road construction. Cons: Navigon is no longer selling GPS products in the United States. They state they will continue to support their products already sold. But, the big question will be how long will this be viable.
