Nice case. Fits like a glove and is very well made. Heavy-duty zipper. This case provides the protection required for a GPS that is bounced around a cockpit and tossed in coamings. Flexible lanyard solution and belt loop. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this case so when I'm Geocaching, it can hang around my neck (so much better than setting it down on a log and forgetting it!). It works well for that; while the GPS *is* a tad heavy to leave around my neck all the time, I can hang it there while my hands are busy searching, and hold the GPS while navigating. It's hung upside down, which is ideal -- you just lift the GPS to read it, and then drop it again, without having to turn it around. The slightly rubberized feel to the case is also nice; it kind of "clings" to things when you set it on them, even if it's the angled hood of a car, or a slanted log or stump. It just clings there like a sticky frog. I do wish this case offered the option of a belt-clip as well, but I knew when I bought it that it didn't, so that's not a star-costing issue. I also wish there were other color options. The brown is okay, but black would be more 'fashionable' even if it didn't come in an array of other colors. It's a smidge on the ugly side.

This is in reality as cool as it looks. It's every bit as tough as it looks. And it's worth every penny. It's a one-time expense insurance policy for your expensive GPS.

I was looking for a rugged waterproof floating case that I didn't have to unzip to use the GPS. This foarm case is up to the task. Included lanyard allows GPS unit to be worn FUNCTIONALLY around your neck, will also attach to a belt if desired. It fits my 76csx like a glove but easily unzips for battery changes and map downloads. "Peel and stick" screen protector was easy to apply with included detailed instructions. A plastic carabiner type clip is also included to attach to a pack or kayak. A great functional as well as aesthetcally pleasing product

This case has an interesting design. There is no clear vinyl window covering the screen like most other cases. These vinyl windows usually scratch and get clouded over time. With this case, you place a screen protector right onto the GPS itself. If it gets scratched over time, it can be easily replaced. The screen and control buttons are slightly recessed below the case surface which further helps to protect these critical areas. The case fits snug, protects well and is well made. As far as the Foarm company, one of the clear screens (they send 2 with each case) was slightly damaged in shipping. I called them and they happily sent me extras and refused to take a payment. If you're looking for a good case, I'd seriously consider this one.

Throughout this video, the producers keep chanting the phrase "Refer to the manual". I agree - you should refer to the Garmin GPS III+ user's manual and skip this video. My reasons for this are as follows:- very few of the GPS's features are explored, and of those that are covered, there is not enough depth.- the computer interface is briefly mentioned but not described in any detail. Again, the viewer is referred to the manual.- the video is rather short and is lacking in essential detail.I gave this video two (2) stars because it does show you how to use the built-in simulator mode fairly well and, during the brief video, they associate the buttons you need to push and the screens you will see with the instructions. If they had spent 30 - 45 more minutes covering all the key features, I probably would have given this video a four star rating...

The video adds nothing to the Garmen instructions. Not worth the price...just read your manual.

This product is perfect for those training for marathons, or other long distance running events. I've been able to chart my progress leading up to the NYC Marathon, and will use it during the race to set my pace. This product is super-easy to use. It synchs up to the satellites very quickly, and it rarely fades out of contact with the satellites (even in NYC with all the buildings, etc). I bought one of these for myself, and bought another as a gift.

Easy to buy and easy to use. 5 min and I was out running with my new watch. Perfect

The main review complaints, on other websites, is about prolonged satellite acquisition time. Maybe it's just the "Big Sky" of Montana, but instead of the several minute wait I read about about, my acquisition time is 10 seconds and less. Quite acceptable. I just wish that there was a way to use this for swimming, in regard to being waterproof, picking up heartrate and having a pace measurement that goes all the way down to meters/minute. MPH or KPH just are not small enough units to fine tune ones swim pace. Also, it would be grand to have a function to measure strokes/minute. Though I have only had this a few days, it seems to be pretty good.

First time using a gps device and couldn't be happier. It completely liberated my running and I now look forward to my runs and exploring new areas off the beaten path. I would recommend this product to all level of runners. The bezel is great and has not given me any of the problems that others have mentioned.

I've loved having this watch. I really like knowing how fast and how far I've gone on my runs. The heart rate monitor is an added bonus. The GPS is always exactly accurate when compared to my car's odometer or when running on a track. Some people have said they've had problems with the touch bezel when it gets wet or when hands are sweaty but I haven't had any trouble at all (not even when it was raining). It always works for me every time. I would recommend this watch to anybody - I love it.

The forerunner 405 is the best partner for runners, you can have the distance, cadence, speed and time while you are on the road in a very easy way. In the same time, your Garmin Forerunner store your data and lets you analyze whenever you want. I used to wear polar untill the day I tried this Garmin, no camparision... The best investment you can do for training.

This watch is great! Needs a little more instruction for some of the functional capabilities. I'm also highly suspect about the calorie burn calculation, but it seems pretty clear that it is double what it should be, so it's easy to adjust. I've owned 2 other heart rate monitor watches and this one dwarfs them both.

After reading some of the negative reviews I had reservations about purchasing this product. I found this watch easy to set up and easy to download data from runs to the garmin site. Once set up I just charge the watch near my computer and it automatically downloads. The garmin site to review training is also easy to use and very informative. The watch quickly finds both the heart monitor and satellites. For me it is ready to go by the time I walk from my front door to the street. Ignore the negative reviews and try for yourself. I think most of you will find it works very well.

Please note that I normally don't write product reviews. I normally take consumer reviews with a grain of salt because most are thumbs up (5 stars), or thumbs down (1 star), rarely with nuanced shades of gray. I'm giving the 405CX 5 stars not because it's perfect (see CONS), but because for me the product experience was revolutionary, and its ease of use makes it easy to integrate it into your daily life rather than being just another gadget with a collection of features. For me it's been rare experience that a an electronic device functions precisely the way it is advertised to. When I'd seen Garmin ads describing how you need only to leave the 405CX near your computer after a workout and presto your full workout stats- pace, heart rate, elevation, calories burned, etc. including split data, and a map of the GPS captured route you took will be waiting for you when you return, I thought "yeah right". Yet it did exactly that- and more. Not enough room here or time to break down all the features, but I will say that logging onto GarminConnect a few minutes after my workout and seeing my route and stats on a Google Map (which can be shared/exported, by the way) it was one of those moments you rarely experience as a consumer. The ease of use and integration of features is extremely impressive. Unlike most devices (some of which I had been considering as an alternative like Suunto, Polar, etc.) the 405CX seems to be more "you" centric rather than you needing to spend days reading a manual to figure out how to make the gadget do what you want- and then falling short of that in the end. For instance, creating your own custom workouts with the downloadable Garmin software is easy and intuitive, and doesn't suffer from being inflexible as I've come to expect from other products. For these reasons, I have a feeling I'll get lots of regular use from this device, instead of it being forgotten in a closet or drawer somewhere after the novelty and has worn off or I can't remember how to use it without a refresher. PROS: * GPS / route recording is superb * HR monitoring and stat tracking are superb * Bezel interface is easy to use, intuitive and well integrated CONS: While the touch operated bezel is one of the features that sets this device apart from its competition, it's too easy to accidentally touch it and change the screen it's on during a workout. It has a screen-lock feature, but during a workout it's somewhat cumbersome to have to switch in and out of it to change a screen. Another minor complaint, but probably specific to me is that alerts are hard to read on the screen during a workout; the ability to configure to change the alert font would be nice.

This sheild is a perfect fit for on my 255WT! Very simple to install! It does have a glossy finish, so it does detract a little from no-glare screen. Other than that works great!!

Great, useful product at a great price. There are few items I've purchase that provide as much use for as little a price. Very pleased. Shipped quickly.

The fitting of the pre-cut protector was good. What can be better will be having the pre-cut protector sent together with the GPS as I had to wait for about 1 week for the protector after receiving the GPS. By then, my GPS was already covered with fingerprints and I had to be careful so as not to get the screen scratched.

This protective screen is not very transparent. It comes with a sticker, from which the residual adhesive remains after removing the sticker. The shipping cost is at least double the cost of the screen itself. 3 STRIKES - YOU'RE OUT!

Like many people, I was a little frustrated by all the choices in GPS. In the end, I treated it like a computer...I bought as much capability as I could afford, trusting that everything would be outdated within 6 months regardless. With that, I can't understand the fuss from some of the lower ratings - the Nuvi 765 works great. No, it's not as good as a body in the right seat with a map. This is a machine, and I didn't buy it expecting it to think for me. It gets me where I want to go accurately & safely, with no glitches or malfunctions. I found the in-depth reviews helpful & accurate in deciphering the features.

The Garmin Nuvi 765 is great, BUT I also have the HTC Hero phone, It is NOT Bluetooth compatible with the Nuvi 765. Tech support said "Sorry". So unless they figure out a firmware upgrade, I am out-of-luck. Check the Garmin Bluetooth compatibility list if this is a requirement for your purchase.

This is an okay GPS. I like all of the features it has but am unimpressed with the maps. I tried to locate my home address and instead of being located under the town that I live in, it is located in the township I live in. If I am travelling to a place that is small and I don't know the township it will be a real pain to find the street. The maps or at least locating streets near a town are much easier to use on TomTom. Other than that, everything else is above average with this GPS.

I have been using the Nuvi for approximately nine months. I don't know how I lived without it before. The software is terrific! Easy to use and understand. The hardware needs some work however. The life of the device is short: About an hour. Significantly less than the five advertised. The touch screen is primitive and clunky compared to what iTouch and iPhone users are accustomed to. Even though it recalibrates itself periodically, it still has errors. If you touch the "a" character, for example, the device will record an s, z, or q. The most disconcerting problem was that the device simply stopped working one morning. It would not power up. Garmin's product support pales compared to that of industry leaders (e.g., Apple). When you register the problem on their website, they send you an email pointing you back to the FAQ diagnostics that you've already tried. A 30-45 minute wait on hold is required in order to talk to a human being on their customer support lines.

I bought the 765T with great hopes, despite user comments about the touch screen. After using it on a trip to Florida, I returned it. The touch screen is horrible, the traffic NEVER was accurate, the unit crashed at least ten times, and it was just a nuisance. This is unfortunate as the screen is clear and colorful and I liked the directions and screen layout. Garmin is the only manufacturer I have seen who provides the ability to plot routes (via MapSource) on your PC and then transfer the route, not just the start and end points, to the unit. If you use MapSource, just make sure you review your route a few times though. If you click a millionth of an inch off a highway, it thinks you want to exit the highway and go to that point. So the directions, left unchecked, would have you exit the highway, go to the point you clicked, then get back on the highway to head for your end destination. Annoying but I guess this makes sense since afterall, you did click a point off the highway. A user interface modification would be helpful to alert the user though (maybe Garmin reads this??) Bluetooth worked well, although I disabled it as using my bluetooth earpiece was far better than using the Nuvi. I have always used Garmin products and was really disappointed with this one. This unit was just too cumbersome and I found myself making excuses for keeping it.

Garmin Portable Friction Mount Garmin Portable Friction Mount

Grips my dash really well. It is a great alternative when you don't want to "stick" the suction cup to the windshield.

This nuvi portable mount works great and is pretty stable. The only time I had an issue was taking a curve a bit to fast. This is also easy to hide under my driver seat. Well worth it and much less expensive than the Garmin site even with a 20% discount.

Very nice mount. It does move slightly when I am driving on curvy roads, but I am a very spirited driver. I like that is easy to move from car to car.

I was a little sceptical of this when we first got it as a gift. It looked to bulky to actually be practical, so we didn't actually use it for a few months. But now after using it for almost a year, my wife and I are very satisfied with the product. We use it in two cars (Honda and Subaru) and and it has worked perfectly every time. No slipping, easy to use, and not as obtrusive as it appears. When not in use, we just stash the beanbag part under the seat or in a door pocket and put the GPS and plastic hardware in the glovebox. Thus, the tell-tale wrings from the windshield mount are gone, and potential thieves are none the wiser.

We used this on vacation and it was so nice to put it on the dash. I have a Mini Van and used to put the GPS on the windshield, then to check or change the screen, you have to reach and can be dangerous. This is very convenient when changing the screen, with-in arms reach. Easy to put away and no marks on your windshield. Love it so glad I bought it, you will not regret it.

This product works very well and is a bargain for the price paid. I especially like the bluetooth feature that links to my Blackberry very easily. Occasionally the GPS seems to "hiccup" and reloads the maps within a couple of minutes of starting up even when I have already begun driving--a minor annoyance. I think the biggest surprise for me was the restricted temperature range that the GPS will work properly. You cannot leave this in the car and expect it to work correctly after a cold night. At first I thought this was a defect, but its just not built to operate much below 40 degrees F. Keep it indoors on cold nights and don't try to use it until the car has begun to warm up. Would I buy this item again at this price? Absolutely.

I had received a Tom Tom for christmas and had a hard time getting it to work properly ouut of the box. We finally sent it back. I purchased this Nuvi 285WT when it went on sale for $99.99 and have been happy every since. Out of the box it worked great. You can adjust the volume control and it is very accurate. It did not find a business once but it was in the back of an industrial park and had no street address so that was understandable. Otherwise I have had no problems. For the value it is great.

I live in the mountains and I love the fact that it shows the altitude. For 99 dollars, it was a very good deal.

I owned a garmin nuvi 350 for 5 years before this product. Loved the nuvi 350 ....I absolutely HATE my new one. When it's time to input an address the response to punching in a street name or number is insanely slow...so slow you find yourself double entering half the letters. Most of the time i'm not sure if the device is hung up, didn't register my button push or ?? Avoid this unit like the plague- Garmin has created the most confusing and crowded product line I've ever seen- it's impossible to figure out how to compare one against the other. the basic rule is- the more you spend the better off you are. Looks cheap, functions cheap, feels cheap.

We loved using our Garmin 285. With this product we were able to find our way into the heart of Nashville without a problem, would never have found the address without it. It also helped us find our cabin in the mountains. The only thing we found wrong with it is that it told us a place was down the road on the left, when it was really on the right and closer to us at the time. Also if a road had two different names, it often used the one we didn't see on the road signs. But that was minor in the scope of things, we never got lost when using this product. It has multiple features that we found are easy to use. It was fun to use and we really depended on it to help monitor our speed and the time of arrival at our different destinations.
