I read many reveiws on this one and others. After reading and from past experience with a Garmin Friction Mount, I decided to purchase this one for my new TomTom XXL 540S GPS. It does not take up as much space as the Garmin, it is heavier and definitely stays in place much better. I have not had this one move on me at all, whereas the Garmin one would slide off the dash. This one is an excellent choice and would definitely buy it again. Thumbs up all the way.

Appears to work very well; however, does not lay flat like the Garmin base made for Garmin units. There could be a problem if you try to place the unit on an overly contoured service. Work very well, however.

I like this product, I drive a Chevy Blazer and the dash is not even but it will hold my Garmin even when you go around corners. It does not slip or slide to the sides.

I use it with a Nuvi in a Dodge Ram 1500. The dash has curved and crinkled surfaces and the Trek V2 does not make full contact with the dash, yet it has yet to be dislodged! A more pliable bottom might make the Trek V2 stick even better. Outstanding adhesion.

this is a perfect small size, works beautifully with my tom-tom, and is the cheapest i found anywhere!

I was not sure if it would hold my GPS securely but it does! It was so easy to set up and use.

Good product, good size, easy to install. Recommend to anyone who dosn't like to leave his Garmin GPS C580 visible in the car, when not in use.

Loved it while I had it. I had gotten tired of my GPS falling off the windshield so I bought this item. It kept the GPS right in my eyesight but out of the way. It did not slide around and pretty much was awesome. The only thing I can complain about was the fact that it was pretty hard to take the attachment on and off but that is really not neccisary anyway. As I said it was so good that when someone broke my window and stole my GPS they took it to!

This product is so much easier for my GPS than attaching it to the windshield.

I bought two of these, his and hers. I tested mine out first. Worked great initially, so I set up hers. The ball joint snapped off of hers the first time I tried to put the cradle on (which I remembered reading in another review, but there were so many positive reviews I figured it was one guy's bad luck.) I swapped her and tried gluing it, but at such a weak point, no glue was strong enough. She just gave me the "good one" back because now her cradle pops off the ball joint if you move it the slightest bit. The size, the weight, the grip and everything are nice on this and it seemed like a good price. But since they seem to have a wide tolerance on the molding which would allow one to be too tight to even work, and the other to be so loose it only works for a couple of weeks, I would guess your chances of getting a good one ar pure luck.
